plywood manufacturing line

Before plywood can be made, workers have to select the highest quality logs of wood. They selectively choose straight and solid logs. When they discover the right trees, remove bark from logs (this is tree upper layer) and slice thin sheets of timber with special machines made for this activity.

The sheets of wood are sorted carefully after cutting. The workers painstakingly stack them to look like a log. It is then inserted into a machine that adds glue to the sides of all those sheets and presses them with lots of force. Repeat this process if over and over until the log gets thick, which then can be used as plywood.

A Tour of the Plywood Production Line

Then they move on to the sorting and neat stacking of wood sheets You will then observe a large machine that the log goes into. It pours glue and forces the sheets closer to each other. It is worth watching this machine work. Once the heat presses together all these sheets it fuses them until they harden into a solid sheet of ply wood. Lastly, we get to view the different shapes and sizes already cut plywood sheets ready for many other uses.
