plywood making line

There were people who, long ago, wanted to make a different form of timber and it was called plywood. This would be the type of wood made through a detailed process requiring many elaborate steps. But why is it so? What makes plywood special and how can we manufacture one out of thin air!

Inside the plywood manufacturing process

WoodNow the very first step of making a plywood is obtaining some wood. The workers then take large trees and slice them into paper-thin segments, called "veneer." These veneer sheets are significant as they represent the layers of plywood. The veneer is cut and then processed on a special machine that gives it the perfect, even plane smooth surface. This is vital because the smoother and more even a surface, the easier it will be for layers to combine. Once the veneer is finished, a powerful glue is applied on it. After leveling the staggered veneer, they place layers on top of each other in that pattern. Altogether, these form a large flat board known as a plywood panel. << This panel can be applied in so many areas – housing construction, furniture-making and more!
